Tournaments of the World Poker Tour

The current season of the WPT, season six, is well underway, with only three tournaments left to be decided. The vast majority of these tournaments are held in the United States and there are currently only three events which take place elsewhere:

Over the years a number of events have been added to the schedule, whilst some have fallen by the wayside and these include the international based tournaments of the Costa Rica Classic, The Grand Prix Paris, the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure and the UltimateBet Aruba Poker Classic. The PokerStars Caribbean Adventure is now part of the EPT.

  9. North American Poker Championship – 2 November 2007
  10. Foxwoods World Poker Finals – 15 November 2007
  11. Doyle Brunson Five-Diamond Poker Classic – 18 December 2007
  12. World Poker Open – 23 January 2008
  13. Borgata Poker Classic – 30 January 2008
  14. LA Poker Classic – 28 February 2008
  15. WPT Celebrity Invitational – 3 March 2008
  16. Bay 101 Shooting Star Championship – 14 March 2008
  17. World Poker Challenge – 28 March 2008
  18. Foxwoods Poker Classic – 9 April 2008
  19. 2008 WPT Championship – 25 April 2008

To date the completed events have each been won by a new champion, only Jonathan Little has succeeded in winning the Mirage Poker Showdown and finishing second in the North American Poker Championship. It is going to be fascinating to see who gets home with the highest poker point ranking.
