The spacious poker room offers 40 tables set within a total gaming area of 7000 sq ft and there is a second private, high stakes area, known as the Club Prive. Bobby’s Room is saturated with WPT history, and even the walls are embellished with stunning artwork depicting past WPT events and high stakes poker greats. The name represents the game of poker at its best – the two-table enclave is named in honour of the 1978 WSOP champion, Bobby Baldwin!

Results

The third edition of the Bellagio Cup took off with a couple tweaks to the traditional blind structure of the event – instead of the traditional 60 minutes per level a new level of 90 minutes was introduced. This did not seem to hamper the unequivocal leader of the event, Kevin ‘BeLOWaBOVe’ Saul – he dominated from the very first hand, and led the chip race in each of the three days of play.

Saul earned his reputation as an internet legend when he blew away the field in the first day claiming a chip lead of monstrous proportions. He followed this up with a very solid showing in Day two and went onto the Final Table with over $4.2 million in chips; double that of runner-up in the chip stakes, Mike ‘The Mouth’ Matusow, who was sitting with $1.87 million!

He joined what can only be described as a dream team Final Table that included Matusow, Shane Schleger and up-and-comer Danny Wong, as well as relative unknowns Eric Panayioyou and Konstantin Puchkov.

Saul got the better of Mike ‘The Mouth’ Matusow, who was enjoying his third appearance at a WPT Final Table, and claimed the $1 342 320 in prize money.
