The Resort is located on the small island of Paradise which is linked to New Providence Island, Nassau by two bridges – one incoming and one outgoing. There is a toll of $1 per trip. Pokerstars pro, Bertrand Grospellier bluffed his way to the main prize of €2 million at the fifth edition of the Pokerstars Caribbean Adventure. Although the event has had a long and eventful history, it is a new recruit of the burgeoning EPT.

"This year's PCA is an exciting addition to the EPT, attracting the widest field of European and international contenders for the biggest prize pool on the tour," said Lee Jones, Executive Host of the EPT."There is no better way to kick off the 2008 EPT season."

The 26 year old Frenchman had to outgun one of the biggest fields on the international poker circuit - over 1 100 players flocked the Bahamas to take part in what is the biggest televised poker tournament outside of the WSOP.

In the heads-up match Bertrand 'Elky' Grospellier took a calculated risk and successfully called the bluff of runner-up and online qualifier, American Hafiz Khan. He was in particularly good company as all seven of 'Elkys' opponents were online qualifiers. Grospellier had a pair of 8's which were enough to beat the 9/3 off suit and get into the big bucks, a record first prize!

"The entire trip has been one thrilling experience after another - and now I'm returning home as the 2008 PCA Champion. This was definitely one of the hardest tournaments I've ever played. It was a very tough field with a lot of online American qualifiers who played really well. But I really wanted this title and I would have been very disappointed not to win," said the elated Grospellier.
