Rob Hollink

Rob Hollink’s main claim to fame on the international poker circuit was his magnificent win at the 2005 EPT Grand Final held in Monte Carlo. He blasted 211 other players right out of their seats to claim the big one and over $840 000.

He was tipped to win the Final by friend and compatriot Marcel Luske, who himself is a top ranked poker player having won the European Player of the Year in 2001.

Hollink has only been playing professional poker for a relatively short while and he favours Omaha over Texas Hold Em. His Omaha wins have been impressive:

  • 2001 – Master Classics of Poker in Amsterdam – $37 187
  • 2002 – Austrian Masters in Vienna – $23 523
  • 2003 – Euro Finals of Poker in Paris – $131 798
  • 2004 – World Heads-Up Poker Championship in Barcelona – $27 855
  • 2003 – He made it to the Final Table at the WSOP

A student of maths and economics, Hollink was also a sportsman of some repute – he played virtually every ball game known to man including tennis and soccer, but injury forced him to look to a tamer sport for his pleasure, and poker seemed to fit the bill. The 46 year old is part of the Full Tilt online poker room team which includes the famed Hendon Mob.
