Three hundred and seventy eight contestants walked away with money finishes and notable absentees from the final table, but who still managed to pocket some cash, included Minh Nguyen who finished 12th and Gavin Griffin who came 251st. Griffin went on to finish 7th at the final table of the $10 000 World Championship Heads-Up No Limit holdem event as well!

Some of the more accomplished poker players who did not make it through to the final showdown were Andrew Bloch who finished 16th, adding a second money finish to his runner-up success in Event 1, Phil Laak who came 24th and will be well pleased with his second in the cash finish and Patrik Antonius who finished 27th .and like both Bloch and Laak will be satisfied with his two in the cash performances to date.

2008 champion, Erick Lindgren can now add his inaugural WSOP bracelet to his two World Poker tour titles which included his victory at the Party Poker Million III cruise! He can well pleased at his performance at a final table that included some poker heavyweights including Roland de Wolfe, the first player to hold both a World Poker Tour title and a European Poker Tour title and double bracelet winner, Howard Lederer!
