Scott Seiver has only being playing pro poker for two years now but he has already claimed one of the most celebrated prizes in world poker, the WSOP bracelet! There were some well known stars who fell by the wayside early in this event and they included Michael Mizrachi (11th) owner of two WPT titles, Humberto ‘the Shark’ Brenes (14th) who has already claimed two WSOP bracelets in his long career and ‘PokerKat’ Kathy Liebert (24th) , one of the few women who have a WSOP bracelet to her name!

Voertmann must be a happy man – he subdued a very formidable cast of players at the final table to claim his prize and they included Marcel Luske, European Poker Awards Player of the Year in 2001 and 2004 and the very accomplished Hoyt Corkins, who has two bracelets in his locker!

Italian, Max Pescatori was wearing his famous tricolour bandana at the 2008 WSOP and it must have been a particularly lucky charm for him – he overcame celebrated tournament guru, Allen Cunningham and high stakes cash player, Minh Ly, to claim his second bracelet!
