WSOP All-Time Bracelet Winners, T J Cloutier

Cloutier has won more tournaments than any other poker player – dead or alive – and he has banked over $9.2 million from his quarter of a century at the felt tables of some of the most famous casinos in the world. The one prominent gap in his very impressive career resume is the Main Event of the World Series of Poker.

Although the American has been one of five players left standing on four occasions at the Main Event in Las Vegas, he has never dealt the killer blow – he has come extremely close on two occasions though, in 1985 and 2000, when he finished second in the heads-up. He does however have six bracelets to his name and this must go a long way in placating the inveterate winner

Any title at the World Poker Tour, the second largest tournament in the world, has eluded him and his best finish was third in the 2003 Legends of Poker but he has finished in the money five times and can boast three WPT final tables. His record at the European Poker Tour (EPT) is not much better, he has only claimed the loot once and is yet to win a title or even get as far as a final table.

Cloutier is generally considered a No Limit and Pot Limit Holdem specialist but he has the added advantage of being an accomplished Omaha contestant too, in fact, he currently holds the record for being the one and only player in the long history of the WSOP to have won all three types of Omaha showcased at the tournament – Pot Limit, Limit and Hi/Lo Split 8 or Better

Cloutier has featured prominently in a number of other poker tournaments including the Ultimate Poker Challenge, the National Heads Up Poker Championship, Poker Superstars Invitational and Poker Royale – Battle of the Ages and he is a respected author of several books and articles on poker and its strategy.
